The transparent building was a former industrial building (Hong Kong factory building). The building was transformed to an exciting building. The project was commissioned in 2013 and completed in 2016, and was tagged "office transformation".
It is located at 133 Wai Yip street, East Kowloon, Hong Kong.
The transformation concept was designed by a Dutch firm MVRDV and are known for turning derelicts structures into an exciting new spaces.
The design is aimed at creating an office space, that offers a pleasant working environment and as well as being attractive and perceived spaciousness.
Materials used for the transformation are white paint, glass and stainless steel, in order to maintain and highlight the purity of the bare structure. The interiors has glass tables, floors, shelves, speakers, transparent chairs and walls.
The building lifts, were glass lifts in glass shaft that reveals everyone's movements up and down the building. the fire stairs are enclosed in fire resistant glass.
The two floors above are reserved for restaurant. The building has a rooftop space, balconies on each floor.
