Paper land building is a paper company located in
the industrial area around Oshodi environs, Lagos state. The building
elevation has the colonial era style of design.
The width of the building is more than 55m. The
building is divided into 3 segments: the first segment is a storey building
with staircase attached to the building. The second segment is the company
warehouse with headroom of 6.5m high, while the last segment between 5.5m to 6m
high.
The first and last buildings has flat roof (mass
concrete) with concrete balustrade, while the second building has an aluminum
roof covering.
The elevation comprises of wide curved aluminum
sliding windows with top fixed. Arches are created around the windows and doors,
with decorative pillars are place in the middle of the arches and embedded
inside the walls.
Then fence: pillars are spaced proportional and of
equal height, width and design patterns, except for the two pillars that holds
the gate, which is between 1.5 m– 1.7m longer.
The building elevation is painted all white, with
the gates and window frames are black colour.
The gates are made from wrought iron and metal and
it’s ornamental.
The wall of the exterior has grooves and tongues
designs pattern on it, to make it more attractive.
The main entrance has an entrance porche which is
been decorated with carvings. The pillars used in this building is the
Corinthian order, its slender fluted columns and elaborated capitals decorated
with acanthus leaves and scrolls
