The Sheik Zayed private academy was designed by Rosan Bosch studio. The school is a boy school located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirate. The project covers an area of 29000.0 square meters and was completed in 2015.
The concept behind this
design is designing a school supporting different learning styles and 21st
century educational skills, by the use of colours and visual stimulation as
powerful tools in education.
Then the overlapping and
distinguishing between learning environments, containing areas for knowledge
sharing, inspiration and personal challenge. This design supports, develops and
engages each student. An indoor sport hall was built into the learning
environment.
There is a combination with
the organized educational spaces outside the classroom, creating an extension
of learning experience throughout the school.
The hallways are not empty,
but rather it forms an engaging setting for different learning situations,
thereby promoting social interaction and collaborative learning
