Cork Flooring is a natural renewable and biodegradable material,
which does not, involved the cutting of the tree it originally comes from. It is
made from the bark of trees in the Southern Europe and North Africa.
Cork flooring comes in two finishes: the tougher and more
durable one is the polyurethane/acrylic based and more environmentally friendly
and less prone to yellow coloration when exposed to light over a period of time
is the water-based. The water-based finishes are likely to be more expensive
than the polyurethane/acrylic based.
