The King is a company that deals on blockbuster mobile games such as Candy Crush Saga and Farm Heroes Saga.

King company engages the services of a local Swedish design agency Adolfsson and partners, to design their Stockholm offices, after the design agency left an impressive imaginative office project for Spotify.

Adolfsson and partners thinks that offices must not be minimalist, corporate and not stimulating, but they create work spaces simply extraordinary.

The King’s offices are cover with stimulating and exciting colours, graphics, textures and innovative solutions. The King’s offices is a totality of fun and creative, that the king company put into its work and its expression of its portfolio of 200 games and their graphics they incorporate in their game.

The office space is divided into 10 different areas; each area having its colour and themes. Deep Sea, Country Side, Treasure Island, Green Hill, Magic Forest, Sandy Dunes, Mountain Tops, Wild Jungle, Kingdom 9 (upper and lower) and the Pavilion Park.

At the Pavilion Park area includes Barista run café, freestanding swing seat, and swivel booth with carousel-type covers.

At the forest-like game area has a stump of wood for tables and giant soft pebbles to lounge on. In another place, there is a pinball hall, a carpentry workshop, giant hammocks, and table tennis tables. The spaces are distinctive characterized as a theme park or funfair.

The office has 430 work stations and 42 meeting rooms. The Architect provided solution to accommodate a flexible workstations for teams with changing sizes and composition, as well as places for both quick stand-up meetings and longer meeting rooms.

There are also small office areas for individual work in the King’s office, like separate cabin in the submarine, a bus and a space in front of the fireplace in the library. For noise reduction; a textile carpet floor finishing was used. And this textile floor finishing is also used to create a temporary space, movable textile screen in form of stylish landscape.

From this design, Adolfsson and partners have taken King’s slogan “seriously playful” and had some real fun. This project makes office space real interesting, creative, stimulating and innovative.
