Madiba and Nature, is a Cameroon based non-profit organisation. The organisation started with the creative use of transforming dump plastic bottles into boat.
The floating plastic bottle boat was invented by a young Cameroonian
Essome Ismael. His inspiration came when he thought of how he could reduce
plastic waste in aquatic, marine as well as urban environment in the country.
The aim is to “promote a circular economy in Africa in
order to ensure the conservation of nature and biodiversity”. Group of students
collects empty plastic bottles near Cameroon’s largest city Douala, and
fabricated to make this floating canoe-shaped boat.
