Ibibio Museum and state park

The Ibibio museum was designed and built during the administration of Arc. Obong Victor Attah. The structure is located at Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo, Akwa Ibom state Nigeria.

The museum is where you can learn about the people’s cultural heritage, from the artifact, paintings, sculpture displayed there.

From the aerial view, the building takes the shape of a rotating hexagonal polygon with an extended vertex (A Vertex is a point of intersection of two consecutive sides of a polygon). In the middle of the rotating hexagonal shape has a circular shape building submerge inside it. The circular shape has a courtyard thus; allowing in lights and ventilation into the building, there are trees and shrubs grown in the courtyard. You can call there a green area.

The Ibibio museum has three natural pound and fountain. The building materials used in the constructing this structure are concrete, glass, ceramic, paved stones and paint wall finish.

It has six long stretch paved walkway entrance into the museum. With the long walk to the museum, it gives visitor time to walk and appreciate the lush expanse of the green lawn.  The park is used for picnic, events, sit outs.
